A Technician works with complex systems or perform highly technical mechanical or diagnostic tests. A Technician can work independently or under the direction of a professional like builders, contractors and architect or machinery maintenance team.

1.Managing, directing, repairing and installing systems or equipments
2.Monitoring and analyzing systems, wires connections
3.Testing new or existing devices or systems for improvement, safety and quality control
4.Discussing with clients or supervisor to advice for better devices or tools to be used

A Technician can work for a government or private firm. A technician can also work independently.A Technician can become a Lead Technician and then progress to become the Officer of Technicians.

Technical skills

In this job, one should understand and operate complex machinery or systems. The skills required for this role completely depend on the industry or sector, a Technician works.

Problem solving skills

A Technician must be adept at problem-solving for every kind of systems or machineries problem. They must be able to identify which parts or tools or wires are causing problems and to conduct repairs safety and without error.

Communication skills

This is another important skill required for this job. They have to communicate with customers and their supervisor as well. Hence, understanding instructions and communicating effectively is a huge requirement for this role

The average salary is Rs. 2,00,000 to 4,00, 000 per annum.

There is no specific qualification required. But it is helpful if you hold a high school diploma, or training from a vocational institute.
