A Recruiter is a critical role in an organization. They understand the strategy of the organization, the manpower requirements in the organization/ team, and support the organization and team to fulfil the requirements.

1.Manage the End to end recruiting cycle
2.Coordinate with internal and external recruitment sources
3.Screening of candidates, on the basis of their CVs or similar medium, to ensure that the relevant candidates get shortlisted
4.Interviewing of candidates and recommending appropriate candidates for selection
5.Reference and background checks of selected candidates, prior to joining of candidates

Initially you will start your career as an Assistant Recruiter or Recruiting Executive in a corporate or recruitment firm.
With knowledge and experience, one can become Senior Recruiter, and then Recruiting Manager.

Knowledge of employment and labour laws

Since recruiting is integrally placed with employment, it is critical that the individual is aware of the employment and labour laws of the country and the state, if required.

Business understanding

It is often mistaken that recruiters only need to deal with hiring of people. However, it is important that they understand the business since their hiring needs depend completely on the business.

Inter-personal Skills:

You should maintain good relationships with all the departments, and with employees across all levels. It is also important that the Recruiter is fair and unbiased in making decisions and suggestions

Salary will depend upon the education, experience, location and the industry. The average salary for fresher graduates is Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 30,000.
The salary of a Recruiter can grow to about Rs. 50,000-60,000 with about 5 years of experience.

Bachelor degree is the minimum qualification required to become a Recruiter. The Bachelors degree can be in any field. However, it is preferable to have a Graduate degree in HR.
A Masters degree in HR is required by some companies for senior Recruiter profiles.
One can work as a recruiter in a private company, government organization, or at a recruitment agency.
