A Production Executive works in production house where they oversee and direct operations to produce a product. As a Production Executive, one performs many jobs in the production place. They look for raw materials to ensure the quality and profitability of a products. They are also involved in training and developing staff performance that helps to produce quality product.

1.Monitoring the process of production
2.Maintaining high quality and timely delivery of products
3.Developing new ways of manufacturing or improving existing process of manufacturing
4.Closely work with Production Manager, hiring and training the workforce for a project
5.Monitoring staff to ensure they meet performance and safety requirement
6.Checking raw materials to ensure the quality and cost
7.Observing machineries for producing a product

Initially you will join as a trainee Executive, but once you gain some experience you can become Production Manager, eventually progressing to Sr. Production Manager or Head of Production.

Critical and Problem Solving skills:

A Production Executive has multiple roles in a production house. They look for manufacturing equipments and machineries to ensure all the work is fine, and any malfunction is resolved. They are required to think of ways to develop quality.

Communication Skills:

This is another important skill required for this job. They communicate with staff to ensure the quality of the work. They continuously update senior managers about ongoing production, stocks and warehouse status. They have to communicate with suppliers to find the raw materials quality, quantity and values to produce the end product.

The average starting salary of a Production Executive is Rs. 3,00,000 to Rs. 4,50,000 per annum.

To enter in this profession, one should have bachelor's degree in a discipline related to manufacturing such as industrial technology or engineering. If you have bachelor's degree with other specialization, then a diploma or certificate course in production may consider for this role.
