Sales Associate

The Sales Associate job role entails individuals interacting with customers and giving them detailed and specialized service and product demonstrations. The intention is to sell the appropriate product and service to the customer, in order to maximize business for a retail store.

1.Welcoming customers, and interacting with them
2.Understanding customer requirements and assisting them in identifying the appropriate product or service
3.Ensuring that the customer buys the product or service
4.Maximising sales for the retail store or the organization
5.Managing promotions at the store
6.Resolving customer queries and complaints

One can become a Senior Sales Associate with experience, progressing to becoming a Store Manager or a Department Manager. One can also progress from managing a smaller store to managing a larger store.

Client Management

Client management is the most important requirement in this job. One has to constantly deal with customers, speak with them, build a relationship, sell to them, and resolve all their doubts and queries.

Teamwork

The sales associate will be required to work with other people in the store, such as the marketing team, cashiers, store manager, as well as people in the regional office or the head office.

Sales and Marketing

The goal of this job is to increase sales. One must enjoy selling to customers, and must have perseverance since sales will demand patience.

Salary for a Sales Associate will be between Rs. 1,00,000 to 1,80,000 per annum. Besides that, you can also earn incentives.

To become a Retail Sales Associate, one needs to be minimum 10th pass. Interest in interacting with customers is a pre-requisite.
