A parts salesperson identifies and obtains spare parts for vehicles and other mechanical equipments. As a parts salesperson, you will find which parts can be used or replaced for automobiles, mechanical equipment, electronics and other consumer products.

The career growth varies from organization to organization. As you gain some experience, you can become spare parts manager, inventory manager or territory manager.
Attention is very important for this role. You have to listen carefully and understand the customer requirements. Based on the requirements, you can advise which parts can be used and its features.
You should have good communication, especially in the local language. For inventory management, one will have to communicate with vendors or suppliers to find and fill new stocks. You have to approach customers and convey information effectively about the relevant parts.

The average salary is Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 10,000 per month but you will receive some incentives per month based on your performance.
In this job, you need only high school diploma. However, it is beneficial if one undergoes training to have better knowledge about the different parts, and about selling skills.
