Installer

An Installer works for multiple industries with the installation of systems, manufacturing equipments, computers or others. As an Installer, one has to be involved in many technical functions with a specific location or go to client locations to install equipments. They are highly technical, able to resolve issues and learn quickly. They test each part and tools of a machine or equipment when there is trouble reported by the customer and modify or replace equipment if that is malfunctioning.

1.Maintaining rapport with customers by identifying solutions and suggesting improvement
2.Inspecting places and installing systems, equipments or machineries
3.Troubleshooting problems and advising new or modified systems placing process
4.Documenting and maintaining customers records such as place and equipments installed
5.Ordering and gathering various components and parts
6.Guiding customers to use a new system or machine

Initially you will join as a trainee to be familiar with the industry that you work in and the machinery used. But once you gain some experience, you can become Line Installer, eventually progressing to Officer or Manager.

Problem solving skills

As an Installer, one should be good in complex problem solving. They have to find the root cause of technical issues and a solution for repairing it. They have to analyze which system can solve customer problem before suggesting to install or use it.

Technical Skills

As an Installer, one needs to find the best equipment or tool that can solve customer problem. Apart from that, they have to find the best place to install machine or set up equipment.

Communication Skills

One should have good communication skill, because they have to understand customer queries and respond to them accordingly. They have to be very friendly, polite and should be able to describe the action to be taken for repairing or installing

The average salary of an Installer is Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month.

A minimum high school diploma is required but education from a technical or vocational school can make someone more competitive for this position.
