A Production Support Specialist is involved in various tasks such as managing data, reporting, machineries, staff management, inventory, and customers. A Production Support Specialist gathers information on industry, product, customer groups and carries out necessary research to resolve production issues. They design production support model, documentation and troubleshoot customer request.

3.Coordinating with support groups to ensure all data is transferred safely
4.Tracking and appropriately escalating production issues
5.Analyzing production issues and providing resolutions to the development team
6.Assisting with planning and testing machineries or equipment

Initially you will join as a trainee but once you gain some experience, you can become Production Support Engineer, eventually progressing to Manager of Support Team or Head of Support Team.

Technical skills

This is a very important skill required for this job. One should have sound knowledge of handling technology or machineries, as well as a deep understanding of the products they handle.

Problem solving skills

A Production Support Specialist should find the root cause of an issue and find the way to troubleshoot. They should be well versed with functions and process to analyze problems quickly.

Communication skills

The Production Support Specialist communicates with customer groups to understand their requirements & feedback. They also communicate with other teams to improve product performance.

The average salary is Rs. 3,00, 000 to Rs. 6,00,000 per annum.

One should have minimum bachelor's degree in any discipline but having a technology background will be highly considered in some industries.
