They manage everything at the store-dealing with customers, stocking, managing the team, training the team, sales, managing the budgets, etc. It is a high visibility role where the chances of getting recognition and promotion are quite high. As a Retail Manager, one has to constantly deal with clients. It is critical that the Manager enjoys interacting with customers and is able to solve all their queries. There will be times when the customers are dissatisfied, and the Manager will need to diffuse the situation calmly and positively.

Teamwork

Several people need to work together to ensure that the Retail store is successful. There will be sales people, cashiers, stockists and finance people who work for or at the store. As the leader of this team, the Retail Manager will need to focus their attention and energies towards a common goal.

Resourcefulness

Salary for a Retail Manager will be between Rs. 3,00,000 to 6,00,000 per annum. Besides that, you can also earn incentives.

One can become a Retail Manager after Graduation. Generally, any degree is acceptable for this role. For people who are 10th or 12th pass, they also have the opportunity to become Managers but they will probably need to start as an Associate at the store and work their way up.
